Danielle Cortez brings dual-qualified (New York, Ohio and England & Wales) counsel to Selborne’s corporate and transactional practice, with deep experience advising across securities, private equity, investment management and cross-border M&A. Prior to joining Selborne, Danielle honed her skills at both large law firms (including DLA Piper in New York) and mid-market firms(including Dinsmore & Shohl in Ohio).

Her client engagements span large public issuers and startups alike,including major companies such as Pfizer Inc., Philip Morris International Inc.and T. Rowe Price Group, Inc., alongside emerging companies such as CivilAnalytics, Inc., Nullable Inc. (d/b/a Aware) and Global Cooling, Inc.

At Selborne, Danielle focuses on structuring and negotiating public andprivate equity/debt offerings, venture capital financings, ESG and TCFDdisclosures, regulatory-compliance frameworks and general corporate governance.She is adept at leading diligence teams, guiding junior associates, andtranslating complex legal risk into actionable business plans, in line withSelborne’s ethos of responsiveness, efficiency and value-added service.
